The new Doubletake ball is oversized, and high quality nitrile rubber surrounds an aluminum base that won't degrade under extended compression. The Doubletake Base Kit includes bolts to thread into every application, without adapters.

Universal fit. Each ball kit includes 4 bolts to allow mounting on any engine and eliminate unsightly adapters.

Larger size. Our ball is 1.125” (29mm), and even that small increase in diameter makes a big difference in stiffness. This means you don't have to over-tighten the arm to keep it from moving while driving.

Won't crush. Our aluminum filled base ball, coated with high quality nitrile rubber, will not deteriorate under long-term compression. You won't have to adjust your mirrors repeatedly because both ends of the system are designed to last.

Won't spin. We supply a locking ring that secures the ball in relation to the motor.

Better retention, less effort. The entire system is designed in such a way that the mirror cannot move unless it experiences an impact.

Radial edges. The clamping surface at the base has radial ridges to hold the ball more securely. These ridges prevent the arm from unintentionally rotating relative to the base, but without mechanical interference that could be damaged in a crash.

Asymmetrical clamping. Because the ball diameters are different, the clamp is not in the center, towards the mirror. The larger base diameter provides more bottom stiffness, and the offset clamp grips the transom more tightly to even out stiffness.
